I made this on accident while trying to do something for my unbelievably flaky dry skin. It wasn't supposed to be a shower lotion. lol But I followed and (not liking texture) then fooled around with someone else's recipe. It was to ticky tacky sticky for me, so I rinsed it off with water and my hands felt great. I decided to try it in the shower after soaping and rinsing and was very happy with the results. Several friends and several of their friends have now tried it and liked it. I'm thinking of making a scrub out of it next.
1 C. Sweet Almond Oil
1/3 C. Honey
1 Tbsp. Stearic Acid
1 Tbsp. Emulsifier (I use lanette wax)
Preservative (I've been putting in 3-5 drops of Germaben when I give it to other people. I use the preservative because they're taking it into the shower and will probably get water into it)
Warm the oil and honey. Melt the stearic acid and emulsifier and then mix into the oil/honey. Blend like mad. The texture on mine has come out as a very thin lotion. You can make this with just the oil and honey, which I originally did and didn't like. Feel free to play with it and let me know what you think.
