With the right ingredients, cocoa butter can be used in a home-made body cream to create a creamy, smooth body cream. I have sold over 70 jars of my cream and the response I receive are always positive. I got tired of spending a fortune on lotions to ward off dry, ashy skin, and to fight cracked skin on my feet -- to no avail, they didn't live up to what they say they can do. So, I discovered a recipe, putting my own spin on it, to create the ultimate body cream that wouldn't leave my skin greasy or dry, and has done great wonders for my feet. I've shared this cream with friends and family and started selling it in 2006 and it continues to sell. To date there are three creams that I make...all with their own unigue purpose. One is for diabetics because it uses ingredients that is gentle to their skin, one is for dry skin (the one with cocoa butter), and one replenishes moisture made with aloe vera. The cocoa butter cream fights dry skin during seasonal weather, and works on rough, dry hands. The amount of money I would spend on buying lotion from a drug store, I spend less than that buying my ingredients.

My mom used to make a couple of different creams, all using cocoa butter as a base. She made a general healing cream, a sun protectant cream, and a night cream for herself. Since she'd died when I was too young to get the recipes, they're lost forever. But people tell me every day what great skin I have, and when I tell them I'm to be 50 this year, they are shocked. I believe that early care with cocoa butter did the trick!

Perhaps we should just be less suspicious and give the lady a break! C'mon ladies she was probably just telling us how great she's found homemade remedies.
I love cocoa butter mixed with coconut oil and use as a hair balm...works like a charm. :)
