I found at my local Sally's a "Tweezerman" brand foot slougher. It's a white plastic handle with 2 different sides (grits) of pumice. It's not the flat "paddle" type, but is a little more curved and more substantial. The flat paddle type foot sanders don't make a DENT in my awful feet!

I've been trying to use this thing daily on my feet (heels, balls of feet, bottoms of my big toes) and it makes a huge difference. Now, if only I could get into the habit of using foot cream! It's just one more thing on the ever-expanding TO DO list that keeps getting pushed further down.

I put my creams on my nightstand so I don't forget anymore. It's the last thing I doevery night before slipping into the covers. What a difference it's made!

My sister made me a foot-scrub that I LOVE and works well at sloughing off that tough, dry skin on your feet. All she did was fill a mason jar about 3/4 of the way with coarse salt and then fill it with olive oil and put some essential oils in there for a yummy smell. It's great, but be careful using it in the shower, it makes your feet REALLY slippery!

I also use a pumice after I get out of the shower.

I use that pumic paddle BEFORE showering, while my skin is still dry. My feet are THAT bad that I can get away with doing that (sad to admit). I should follow up with that salt/olive oil scrub afterwards. That sounds pretty cool.

invest in a home foot spa! my bf got me one, Dr.Scholls foot spa. its amazing, 2 or 3 nights a week, or anytime my feets are sore. you can add a little epsom salt, soak for a half hour, do a light pumice and then MOISTURIZE. get a really good quality foot lotion. my feet are happy and cute!

I feel you on this! I go barefoot most of the time so I know about rough heels! My feet are so tough that I stepped on a costume nailhead (those little metal decorating pieces with the prongs that you fold under when you put them on fabric) the prongs went into my foot & I just thought I had tape stuck to the bottom of my foot!

One thing I do whenever I get the chance is put Borax in my foot bath massager with warm water. It's great! I soak my feet a good while and it does seem to soften the dead skin. There are also creams that help, anything with urea will soften. I also use the pumice stone after soaking in the bathtub but it is especially useful after a borax soak.

also, if you have a really good foot lotion you like, slather it on before bed and wear cotton socks. (like they tell you for your hands with gloves) feet should be silky soft in am
